Team Dunlop

Overview

How I got started: I got started by pure luck. A friend introduced my family to a manager of a race team and it was all downhill from there.

Goals for the Future: Pro rider, for sure.

Bio

#858 Clay Woeste
Florence, KY
My name is Clay Woeste. I am in my fourth year of racing motocross. My favorite Kentucky track is Podium One Charlestown, Indiana. Sunday Creek MX in Millfield, Ohio is my favorite Ohio track. My other favorite is is Waldo MX in Waldo, FL. My favorite national track is Gatorback in Gainesville, FL.  My favorite pro riders are James "Bubba" Stewart and "Pooh" Sipes.

Beside motocross, I participate in football and basketball. I am in the third grade this year. My favorite school subject is Art. As far as training goes, I try to get as much seat time on my dirt bike as I can get. In the winter months, I go snow skiing. My favorite type of exercise is just riding motocross.

Some of my goals for 2008 are to win first place in the 50cc (7-8) class at Lake Whitney, Loretta's, and the Mini O's. I also would like to finish in the top 10 in the 65 class at each of those tracks. My best motocross moment has been finishing top 3 at Loretta Lynn's Amateur Nationals in 2006 and 2007. Probably my worst moments in motocross have been when I crashed and burned in the 2006 and 2007 first Loretta Lynn's Regionals.  The best thing about being a rider is my family and friends. My whole family just loves it.   I think the hardest thing about being a rider is the 100 degree heat index at Loretta's.

The two people who inspire me more than Mom and Dad are Vickie Rigg and Billy Willian. Ms. Rigg is my Art teacher. She reinforces how to draw by teaching me like adults. Mr. Willian settles me down at the national starting gates. Nobody else can approach me, calm me and prepare me for the race as I sit on the starting line like he does.

When I grow up, if I have not made to the pro motocross ranks, I would like to be a Police Officer. I can not stand criminals.
