WHY I RIDE!!!

People don't do sports because they're fun unless their sport is motocross . Ask any athlete, most of them hate their sport, ask a desert racer the same and they will tell you they couldn't imagine their life with out it its what they wake up for every day Its part of them. They live for the practices unlike most kids in any other sport dread practice they almost rather break a leg then go to another practice sometimes. In desert racing you have no coach you are your own coach you push your self every day you try and learn new things every time you ride you cant blame any one but your self for failure. Most athletes live for the way it feels to beat the other team ,a desert racer lives for the way it feels to beat 100+ other riders single handedly on their own. Most athletes live for the way they become a family with their team,a desert racer lives for the friends they have out of the desert but in the desert, friends don't exist. A desert racer lives for the competition, they live for the friends, the practices, the memories, the pain, its who they are.

Q&A - Competition

How did you get started?

My dad had always raced in the past since he was very small. He soon introduced that to me. Once I did my first race (07 AGP), I was hooked!!!

List your competitive highlights:

Throughout the 2008 season i was competing against about 300 250 racers for overall points. that includes experts, amateurs, and so on. i was running about 7th overall for most of the time, 1st amateur 250 and was very pumped about it!

What are you planning for next season?

After coming off from a bad crash and a shattered collar bone that ended my 08 season, next year i just want to take it easy. i plan on attending all the AMA National Hare and Hound races along with select desert races and grand prixs.

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

My biggest accomplishment so far has definitely been slowly progressing through the amateur class on my way to the experts. I've worked very hard and it's all paid off for sure!
