How I got started
I got a late start into racing but instead of looking at it as a disadvantage, I feel it has given me more drive toward my goal of becoming a successful professional. My first bike was a
1985 XR100 and rode around the house with my dad. I began racing when I was 12 and progressed at a rapid rate, started to race more competitively and
eventually was able to compete in the GNC at Mosier Valley. My first time there, in the 125
beginner class and got 3rd overall. I then moved up to the novice class,
progressed even more and began to win races. I feel that I am getting faster and smoother every time I go out to ride and hope to continue progressing at the same rate.
Unfortunatly, as all riders know, motocross has it`s hazards and let-downs. I suffered two consecutive breaks to my right arm in one season. This was a big setback for me but I was determined to not let it slow me down. As for this coming season, I have this urge to get something done. I know that if I simply give it all that I have, I will make it in the professional ranks.
Goals for the Future
This comming season will be my second as a professional. I would love to attend the entire AMA Arenacross series/East Coast Supercross Series, but due to the cost of fuel and travel, I will only be attending select event. I know that I have the talent, desire, and ability to do well in these series, and the only thing that I feel I need is the support to get me there.
